“EXCUSE ME, STOP RIGHT NOW!” | Michaela’s Story

A friend and I were walking down the street when two older (possibly homeless?) men approached us. The one in front kept blocking our path, moving in front of either of us when we tried to step around him. His hands were outstretched as though he was trying to touch us. I stood my ground and said very firmly and loudly,”EXCUSE ME, STOP RIGHT NOW!” and he stepped aside and walked away. Central Sq. is not the most harrassment-free place at night. This particular man was about 5’8”, 70 years old, wrinkled with white hair and a moustache and beard, wearing a baseball hat and a winter coat. Hollaback!

I've got your back!
