I was walking to work at about 8:30 AM on Friday, October 19 and was navigating through the clusters of people who tend to congregate outside St. Francis House in this area. I slowed to let an individual from the opposite direction pass through the narrow opening between two clusters of people. As I walked through the small space, a man put his hand on my left elbow and leered “hey baby” at me. I screamed at him “don’t touch me!” and proceeded to look for the police officer I frequently see in this area. Unfortunately, I did not notice an officer when I needed her/him the most. I’m absolutely infuriated. Who thinks they have the right to lay their hands on another person!?!?
